jdobbs,

I know this has been brought up once before, but do you have any intentions on fixing the runtime error 6 bug? Seems to be related to having a foreign language selected in Windows (Japanese in my case). The error occurs when I select the video_ts directory, which leads me to believe it may have something to do with the path. In the case of Japanse, the "\"'s in the path are replaced by yen symbols (must use the same ASCII code).

Considering most programs don't seem to suffer from this limitation, I'd figure it'd be trivial to fix once it's known how to get around the limitation. Of course I don't want to assume anything though.

Not wanting to constantly reset my language and reboot the machine, I really haven't committed to using DVD-RB. If this were to be fixed, however, I certainly would be inclined to join your VIP list and make a donation (in case that were any motivation for you to investigate this problem :-)

thanks.

You're the first person who reports an error like this...which version of DVD-RB are you using?

Did you read ALL the guides in this forum before posting?

Did you consider to format your hard-disk? :D

It seems more like a Windows problem, not a DVD-RB one!

No, it has been reported before, and it is not related to Windows in "Foreign Languages" (I use Spanish XP with RB without a glitch)but, as bennynihon says, to the use of foreign symbols

yeah, it has been reported before. Just do a search.

Considering what pg55555 said, seems to likely be the problem with backslashes in the path being converted to yen symbols in the case of Japanese. I'm sure other asian languages suffer from a similar thing. However, considering how the majority of programs do work despite this, a program does not need to be crippled because of it.

It appears that in WinXP I may be able to have different users set to use different languages. If this works, I can have one user set to English simply to use DVD-RB, and another user set to Japanese to run all other applications. Sure it's not the most elegant, but it is a solution.
