Hi

Can I run DDR333 ram in DualChannel mode? I'm building a system with Athlon which has a FSB of 333MHz.

Thanks!

It has nothing to do with the RAM itself, only with the board.

If the mainboard can operate RAM in dual channel mode, then you can use it.

It depends on the motherboard or the CPU itself. I found this from another forum:

Certain chipsets for Intel and AMD support dual-channel by having two memory controllers on the motherboards. Example chipsets are:
Intel 875 and VIA PT880 for Pentium 4
Nvidia nForce2 and VIA KT880 for AMD XP

The other way to have dual-channel is to have two memory controllers inside the CPU die. The only CPUs like this are:
AMD Athlon 64 (socket 939)
AMD Athlon 64 FX (socket 939 and 940)
AMD Opteron (socket 940)

The Athlon 64 (socket 754) CPU has only one memory controller available inside the die. The extra pins for the socket 939 and 940 are required to support two memory controllers.
