HI;
Since two days i try to make a backup of “Passio of...”.
Dvd2svcd always fails. I use the newest bundle with roba and cce 2.67.00.27 and then i tried it with cce 2.66.1.7.
First time it looked allright, but after 45 seconds cce is started , popped up a window “ should i really cancel encoding?” Why comes this question????
I said “no” and encoding goes on. But not one pass, cce makes 4 passes etc, then I cancelled.
Tried to recover , but always the same. I tried to copy the movie with two audio tracks: AC3 and DTS; is this the reason?
Then I used cce 2.66 and tried it with only one audio track: AC3, I looked allright; but the iso image is only 6 MB (with DVD Author)? The encoded video cce.mpv but is 3,87 GB. What is wrong?
I am very disappointed!! I thought that dvd2 is a great proggie, but 10 hours and no result!!

Here are the log file of the last test:

"should i really cancel encoding?"

This pop up is quite normal and should be ignored.
When you use D2SRoBa plugin, DVD2SVCD goes about its normal business, but when CCE starts, D2SRoba shuts it down and then closes DVD2SVCD.

D2SRoBa takes over the video encoding itself, restarts CCE with its own settings, and then relaunches DVD2SVCD when it has finished. When it initially tries to close CCE, CCE produces this popup window. If you leave it a couple of seconds, D2SRoBa will automatically press "Yes" to stop the encode.

This is why CCE went on to do several passes - The CCE that was running was the one run by DVD2SVCD, not the one controlled by D2SRoBa - it never properly got shut down.

I hope I have explained this process clearly enough for you to understand.

As for why your ISO is so small, I'm not sure. Please try the encode again but ignore the "should i really cancel encoding?" popup. If it happens again, please post your MPlex log file.

HTH
Nick

Sorry,
i have deleted any log files.

"please post your MPlex log file". For the next time I will do it, but where is the log file?

In your output folder
IIRC it's called MPlex_log.txt

Thanks, Nick.

A question: DTS ans AC3 were not the problem? Both together is possible?
