The audio on my DVD back-ups is very low volume when I encode on to 2 CDs. There is no problem with the audio level when I encode to one CD.

Does anyone know how I can boost the audio on my 2 CD back-ups?

This is because your 2-CD encodes use AC3, and your 1-CD encodes use MP3.

Start...(All) Programs...AC3Filter...AC3Filter Config

Set Preset to Loud.

One can, of course, have mp3 in 2-CD works too. What I have noticed is that, even with the audio gain offered by BeSweet, the volume might remain too low at times. If such is the case, I augment the volume of the mp3 in the agk_tmp folder with mp3gain to the level of my choice and mux it with my avi video with VDubMod.

ac3 is preferred by some, but my personal view is that, with good stereo speakers, mp3 can give very good home theater feeling. The advantage of having mp3, of course, is that it would leave more space to the video, thus raising its avr, and making it better visually.

Regards.
