DVD decoder software for pc

DVD's I made copies of play beautifully in my DVD player, but won't play on my PC. What software (hopefully free) do I need?

Can you get the original DVDs (not copies) to play on your PC?

generally you should get at least a basic player software with your dvd drive. for example i got windvd with mine.

if not then you can try MediaPlayeClassic. it has built in mpeg and ac3 decoding etc.
