Long ago I followed the directions to load up a bunch (maybe 2) of programs in preparation to back up DVDs. Auto Gordian Knot was one of the recommended final processing programs (not a preparation program), I think the other is no longer around. One of these precursor programs enabled any program to read any disc (It loaded on startup of windows). It would help me to have that again. Anyone know the name or a link?

I was trying to make MP4s and nothing was working. Now I have Nero recode. I've used it on DVD Decrypter files and Nero creates nearly unusable video (fuzzy) in 7 separate files. The Auto GK file (singular) from the same VOBs looks great, but wont convert to clie with Sony's app, and wont play in QT. I've installed every codec ever invented.

Any advice to get my personal DVDs to 1 single MP4 without a PhD in DVD?

Thanks.
Bob C.

Sadly, I only know links to commercial software:

Any testamonials on these two? This is exactly what I was looking for for part one, thanks!
