Hi,

I was trying to make a SVCD of X-MEN.
CCE encoding stops responding at about 30%.
CCE doesn´t report any error.

Its kind of strange that the film has 101 minutes but when I choose VTS_001_IFO it reports 02:23:40 !?!?!

Any ideas ? What could I do ?

Thanks

I look around in CCE Forum and I discovered the following post :

"I solved the problem guys. The reason it crashes is because your AVG and MAX are to close. I am not kidding either. Try setting the AVG down some. What happens is CCE freezez cuz it has trouble determing the bits to use at scenes since they are so close."

Could this be true ?
I allready made several SVCD with the default values and never had a problem. If so, what value should I use for AVG ?

Thanks

If you are using build 5, which you should be, you will be given a warning if the Max and Max Avg. are within 120 bits of each other. Keep them at least this far apart.

It doesn't happen on all videos.

The X-Men IFO file is screwed, I know I've done X-Men myself. The movies is only 1:41 but the ifo reports 2:23, and if you use that it'll encode 2:23. What you should do is using the Chapter selection in dvd2svcd so you only get the main movie.

Hi!

The reason why the movie shows 2:23 is because the deleted sceens is in the end! I know because I also try to rip it.... Just chose 1:41 in the "Movie Length".:scared:
