VirtualDubMod hangs when loading avs

I don't know what has happened, but VirtualDubMod suddenly stopped loading avs scripts on one of my machines. I don't know what could be wrong. The script could be as simple as this:

avisource("c:\test.avi")

and it won't work.

Can anybody help me?

Empty avs plugin dir.

I find three such directories - the first one under VirtualDubMod, the second under Avisynth and the third one under Gordianknot. The two first ones are already empty. Should I empty this one?
