I compressed a multichannel soundfile with the Surcode DVD-DTS software. First I encoded with 768kbps and it worked properly. But when I turned up the bitrate to 1.536Mbps the output over spdif starts to crackle and sounds noisy. I use BeSplit to convert the .wav to .dts. It seems like when the DTS-bitrate is to high it doesn't work properly. Anyone who knows why, and how to fix this?
I really need to encode at a high bitrate beacause I compress Ambisonics-streams and don't want to loose too much of the surround-information..

format DTS (48kHz)

format WAV (44.1KHz)?
If WAV for audio CD is your goal, only a 16bit 44.1 KHz 1411 PCM stream is possible, I guess you mix some diffrent ideas

Thanks for the answer Daphy!
No, my goal is 48kHz .dts. I do the same procedure for both 768kbps and 1.536Mbps. The 768kbps-file works fine, but the 1.536Mbps-file doesn't play properly. Why is it so?

one reason could be the DVD-Video specification:
less than 10Mb/s for the video and the audio stream - this means if your using a CBR (f.E. 8,5Mb/s) encoded video stream it might be possible that the overall amount is to high combined with a DTS 1,536 Mb/s.
