Greetings,

Is there a way to resize an AVI that is slightly over 1400MB so that it fits into 2 CDs rather than 3 without having to recompress the ripped files from the DVD and do the whole process all over again?

you could cut of credits

otherwise re-encode the audio only or something (but thats not really what you want)

hmmm... no, theres no way. (if you use VBR MP3, you could try to decrease overhead by using avimux GUI and storing more than 1 frame per chunk)
