Hey there guys! I was just wondering how do I play AVI files with DTS streams in it? Is there any software like AC3Filter that filters DTS streams? Thanks!

Cheers,
Buzz

It's just a normal .dts file that I used DVD2AVI to demux from the VOB file..... I then encoded the video and muxed the .dts file into the AVI......so, I was just wondering if I could play the AVI with sound. So far, I haven't been successful... haven't tried VideoLAN though... but I would prefer to play the file in Windows Media Player. =D

dvd2avi faq Q18 gives you all the info.

well Wilbert is right, Avi-Mux is the tool to go

as for playback if you use VideoLAN or MediaPlayer Classic you dont need extra filters

but if you want to use e.g. Windows Media Player or ZoomPlayer you need some of gabests DirectShow filters ( www.gabest.org) and of course WinDVD ...

In this case there is no need to install WinDVD: you can also use AC3Filter 1.01 RC 5 (http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/download/ac3filter_1_01a_rc5.exe). :)
