I am trying to read all the posts here...but I need some direction.
I am currently useing AutoGK 1.25 to make Xvids. I would like to Edit/Normalize my audio...cause it is so q-u-i-e-t. But I dont see where I can do that in AGK. I opened DVD2AVI w/o a project, that AGK uses, and set Normalize on, but it still is pretty quiet.
Since most of my 700mb Xvids are mp3 audio, I know there has got to be some way to edit the WAV file before the final encode. Also, when I make Xvids 1400mb, the audio is AC3...is there some kind of AC3 editor? or Adobe Audition plugin I can use to open/edit/save AC3 files?
I have read most of the FAQ about the Dolby Digital, like how DD auto Loudens or Softens parts of the audio...but does that all still happen in Xvid's? Most of my still are quiet, and then have LOUD parts.
I have been using audio editors for over 8 years, starting with Cool Edit 96 (actully 1 or 2 versions of Cool Edit before CE96)...and I am currently using Adobe Audition 1.5.
I am only using AutoGK, cause it is the only way I know that makes decent xvids/divx's. I tried other methods before, but the DV2 project file that DVD2AVI made (different version of DVD2AVI than what AGK use's), made the video interlaced choppy.
1st movies I made made with: Smart Ripper 2.41, DVD2AVI 2.71 to make the DV2 project file and create the WAV file, and I encoded them with TMPGEnc 2.511 to make MPEG1, MPEG2, Divx, Xvid.
Then I tried afew other all-in-one type encoders, ImTOO DVD, umm...others but I cant remember..but those too made choppy interlaced video.
What I really want to do is use a VOB ripper, either SmartRipper (witch I prefer, and have most experience with) or DVD Decrypter (but I am not used to it it), to copy the VOBS to the HD. Extract the WAV/AC3/AAC/M4A and edit it myself. And finally use something to make a Multi-Pass XVID or DIVX with the WAV/AC3..etc, to make a Nice 700mb size, HQ video and HQ Audio movie.
Also learn how to make some awesome subtitles....like these ones I see in Love Hina series.
