hi-fi reading a x52 cd-r

I've just bought a custom made pc with a lite-on dvd-rw all in one drive. I've burnt a few x52 speed cd-rs at x40 writing and the disk plays in all other cd players in my house except my hi-fi (approx 6 years old). I used to burn x1 to x16 ans x40 speed cd-r on my old burner at x4 speed and never had a problem. Can anyone offer a solution or advise on possible cures (maybe lowering the burn speed?)
