Unknown format??

when I try to play the .m2v file I just encoded with cce, powerdvd says: "unknown format"
Do I need some sort of codec?

It may be the your player (you didn't say what player you are using) won't play an elementary stream.

He did mention his using 'powerdvd'.

But yeah you need to use another player to verify the file, like mediaplayer classic, which supports elementary streams.
