I just transcoded an AC3 AVI to low-res DVD in TMPGEnc+. Now I have a box made up of 9 smaller white squares (the upper right one has a darker square inside it) dancing all over the screen. It isn't in the AVI file, just the transcoded MPEG file. What is it? How do I get rid of it?

Seems you don't have any mpeg2 codec installed.... you can get them through DVD playback software(power dvd, windvd), or even the very latest ffdshow comes bundled with one.

What is it?
Looks like Elecard mpeg2 decoder.
How do I get rid of it?
Uninstall Elecard decoder and enable mpeg2 decoding in ffdshow-28-08-2004 configuration.

I updated MMC 8.5 to 9.0 and suddenly I had no MPEG2 playback. ATI pisses me off!! Anyway, Elecard was the only freebe I could find. I uninstalled Elecard and WMP 10 took over and no dancing box!!!
I guess the most important thing is that you guys have told me it's in my player not in the file. I only transcoded to burn to DVD so that little dancing box won't show on the disk.
Thanks guys!!!
