Hi,

lately I have a problem with my DVDs. I capture Basketball games and other programs from TV or VHS, enocde them to mpeg2 and burn them (LG 4040B) onto EMTEC DVD+R. Everything's fine until I watch it on my DVD player (Panasonic S75).
There are little skips every 10-30secs, always at the same time (same frame). Strange thing is, if I playback frame by frame, there's no missing frame or so. Actually, i can't see any reason, why there's a problem. The mpeg2-files are ok. And sometimes, if I replay a scene where has been a skip before, it isn't there now. Next time, it's there again.
I tried the DVDs on other players (Sony DVP405, Panasonic S47), there are skips, too, but not so often (but when, always on the same frames like on the others players). I tried an other DVD burner (Sony DRU 510A), same effect. I tried other media (Philips DVD+R). Same effect.
Has anyone an idea?

sounds like bad media or bad mpegs.

Try at first to scan your mpegs with BitrateViewer. If everything seems to be ok, try different media.

And check your encodersettings.

If you test anything please post the results.
