Hi all,

I use autoGK to backup my dvd but I've noticed big volume variations
during playback (music very loud, voices very quiet for example).

I've been told this can be fixed by using "dynamic range compression"
or "normalization", but unfortunately I'm a newbie and I don't know
how to do this in autoGK. Is it possible ?

Thanks for any help.

Hi, and welcome to the forum-

It can't be done in AutoGK. AutoGK uses the untouched AC3 audio. One way to Normalize is to extract the audio and mux it yourself, setting Audio to "No Audio Track" in AutoGK. You would then get the audio yourself from DGIndex, in Audio setting Normalization to 100%, and DRC to Light, Normal, or Heavy.

But a better (and easier) way might be to go into the AC3 Filter Config and check the "Use DRC" box and fool with the sliders.

Thanks.
