Hello,

I've got an avi with .dts audio.
I am not able to hear the audio and Gspot says that I dont have the required codec to play the audio. I tried to save the audio as a wav file through Vdub which did produce a wav file but I could not play it. I also demuxed the audio which produced the .dts file with Vdub and then tried to convert it to an mp3 with BeSweet but that didn't work either.

Could someone please tell me where I can get the .dts codec in order to watch the avi. I presume that once I have the codec I will be able to convert the audio.

Thanks for your help,

Ben.

Try with the last ffdshow build. There is a DTS decoder now in the Audio Decoder Part.

The audio tag number id 8193 if that helps.

Any more ideas?
Thanks,
Ben

If you want to replay a DTS file you got the choice between a couple of media players.

Those should manage this file format in any case
Media Player Classic 6.4.8.2 (worked)
VideoLan Player 0.7.2 (worked)
VideoLan Player 0.8 test1 (not tested yet)
...

BTW have you already read this :readfaq: (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=68300#post424069)
