HI , i usualy create my dvds using tmpg insertirting mpeg files captured fom my tv tuner card (2c-stereo) or from ts_video folders created with dvd decrypter (from an original dvd movie)
the problem is that i cannot hear the audio from the new dvd played on the pc (starting from the VIDEO_TS file) , but i can hear it if i click on a VTS_01_1 VTS_01_2 etc.. OR ofcource if i play the disk on a standalone dvd player.
probably something is missing ( an audio codec for ex. )from my pc
and something else . creating dvd movies with TMPGEnc DVD , what type is the audio output ?
thanx

U don't mention if the problem appears when u re-author an original dvd or when u r encoding your captured files.

I assume that u r authoring both with tmpg dvdauthor. Have u installed the ac3 plugin?
Does your pc has a software dvd player installed?

tmpeg encoder produces mpeg files with mp2 audio. Can u hear these files after encoding?

DVDAuthor uses the audio streams u r supplying. Thus it must be mp2, ac3 (if ac3 plugin is installed)
