no video on tv when i play dvd

i'm using my video out on my radeon9600, but when i play a dvd movie it doesn't show on my tv, but my divx movied does...

what's wrong?

AFAIK its there to prevent you from recording the signal from your TV-out on a VCR. Just use some other program and possibly other DVD decoder filter and it should work.

Hehe apparently PowerDVD also suffers from this I think. You may try one of the free players like Media Player Classic and enable its built-in MPEG2 decoder.
AFAIK commercial players have to put in this restriction in order to obtain a CSS license :devil:
