Until now I calculated the resizing for DVD in the following way:
640/aspect ratio of source=x
Then for NTSC borders I calculated:
480-x/2=y
Then I added x as my vertical value in the script, and y as my upper and lower borders value.
Now here is my confutation, I have a PAL source of 704x304
704/304=2.316
640/2.316=276
576-276/2=150
This gave me a very squashed image, using DV-Tool, and locking the aspect ration I got a vertical of 336 and borders of 120, which in turn gave me a correct image.
Where am I going wrong?
Thank you all for helping.
