Make a VOB Greyscale

I want to convert a DVD rip that I have from color to black and white.
And then be able to burn it to DVD without any quality loss.

But I'm not sure how to do this....

Anyone know if this is possible?

What programs can I use to do this? (the simpler the better).

afaik the term "no quality loss" poses a no go in this problem. U can't just remove the chroma of a video by using just a tool that dosen;t reencode it.

U must run it through a video editor program, like premiere, and impose a filter on the video that will transform it to b/w, but u have to re-encode it afterwards.

It is much simpler to turn the color of your tv set allway down, in order to watch it b/w.
