Hi all,

I've recently switched from Gordian Knot to AutoGK to do my encoding tasks. So I've uninstalled just about everything in the Gordian Knot pack, and installed AutoGK. On top of this, I've later installed Windows Media Player 10 which I use to play my DivX/XviD avi files. Now I have various problems, for example I had to manually install Morgan Stream Switcher, or I encounter codec 2000 problems during playback etc.

My question is, what else do I need to install apart from AutoGK, DVDDecrypter and DivX codec to play my DivX/XviD avi files properly? And if it's easy to tell me, in what order?

Thanks in advance,

John

PS Of course, if there is a s/w requirements guide out there, a link would be most welcome...

DivX/XviD/FFDShow should be enough for the video part. But don't forget about audio. In most cases, some AC3 decoder and a Ogg Vorbis decoder should be sufficient.

heh... ogg vorbis in AVI?

codec 2000? you probably mean audio tag...

for that you need ac3filter
