What I would like to do, is to backup whole dvd9 with new subtitles, but without striping anything. My problem is that the Complete Working Guide about adding subtitles in subtitles section only tells how to replace existing subtitles on the dvd with your own, and i would like to add my own as another and make them selectable from the remote control level.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ps.The Dvd is "Bad Boys"

Well, there r a few points to take care.

d) Once it's done, you'll take from the "DVD required files" folder the subtitle (in the .sup format obtained in step 2), you'll rename it identically and replace it with one of the subtitles of the DVD from the "Demuxed DVD" folder.
Obviously, u mustn't replace the original subs with the new. So don't rename it identically as the original, but drop it in the "Demuxed DVD folder"

DVD. In the newly displayed window, you'll input one by one as shown in image 9 (see image 7), from the "Demuxed DVD" folder, the video file (.mv2) the audio files (.ac3 and .dts) and the subtitles (.sup), and add the CellTimes file from "DVD required files" folder.
Here u have to add your new subtitle in the list along with the existing ones.

don't modify anything else, just press OK and than a new window is shown, where you have to check what you want to keep (audio, subtitles), but those are usually already checked, and what is left out isn't checked (e.g. the subtitles or audio that you didn't chose it with DVD shrink). If there is anything left in that list that you know you'll need, check it (see image 11).

special care needs to be exercised in this step where u r stripping subs from the original ifo files. U don't strip everything. U must retain position x, where x is the position u inserted the new subs, ie 2nd or 3d or xth.

This must take care of it all and your new subs should be included.
Pls check it out and report back. I might have an alternative solution to re-authoring.

Thats right and I already figured it out, but my problem is that I want all the subs which are originaly dvd to remain on it, and add my as another one.

It's like this:
Let's say that there are three subtitle tracks on that dvd:
English(position 1), German(position 2), Spanish(position 3)
And after my reauthoring I would like to have:
English, German, Spanish, Polish

If I got you right you were telling me no to strip one of the positions, so if i were to strip for eg. position 2 and 3, you told me to strip only 3 and leave 2 intact so i could place my subtitles underneath it right?

The problem starts when I remux the dvd with my 4th subtitle track and then do the ifo edit thing the are not on the list, i can only see audio tracks and subtitles in English, German, Spanish but no Polish.

Please HELP :( !!

Once again thanks for the intrest.

I c.

Lets take another approach.

U have the original structure to a folder named "Orig Files"
U have the ifoedit structure in a folder named "IfoEdit Files"

Lets assume that the vts u reauthored will replace vts_02_x.vob, of the original structure. So u have to rename the ifoedit files to vts_02_x.vob. I believe that I make sense till now.

1. U copy the vts_02_x.vob from 1 onwards but not the vts_02_0.vob from ifoedit to original folder replacing the original vobs.
2. U Open ifoupdate
3. Select the original from the "Original files" and reauthored ifo from "Ifoedit Files" to their respective places. Select also the backup folder to the 3rd place
4. From the Options menu u will see 10 options to select from. Select 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8
5. From the mode menu select "Adjusted Cell Mode"
6. Hit the Update Ifo
7. Hit the Correct VTS Sectors

Test in a software player. U should be fine.
