LG GSA-4082B burner software will not recognise

I have been having ongoing problems with the HL-DT-ST DVD RAM GSA-4082B burner not being recognised by software. My Firmware is A201 with the Driver Version 5.1.2535.0.

One example of software not recognising it is Recordnow Max.

Is there something I can Do/Download or do I just buy a different burner with more support.

If I have to get a different burner which one is good?

hi and welcome to the forum,

before buying a new burner i would seek updates for my burning app. if that does not help, try downloading the trial version of nero burning rom from www.ahead.de - imho it is the most versatile burning program out there and i wouldn't use anything else. i think it makes more sense shelfing out the $$ for a better burning app than for a new burner!
