does anyone know a website or store that sells dvd-rws that are bigger than 4.7 gigs? if not, is there a way to partition a movie so that you can put it on two regular dvds?

There isn't currently any dvd-rws that r double layer, ie bigger than 4.7gb. The only existing media is double layer (double capasity) dvd+r but not rewritable at the moment. Eventhough I am quite sure that they will appear before long.
U can follow a lot of threads about splitting a dvd disk in 2 dvd-r, just search with argument "split two disks" and follow the threads.
U can follow the guide for splititng a dvd to 2 dvd-r (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ifoedit-2dvdrs.htm), or
U can use dvd-fab (http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-fab.htm), a program that undertakes the task of splitting a dvd in 2. This is certainly easier than doing it manually.
Its guides can be found here (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdfab-fullsplit.htm) and here (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdfab-mainmovie.htm)
