Hi, i'm still using the old big 3 method (hope this is the right place i'm posting.)

It started of with me not being able to see the subtitles... upon reading jeli's thread, i saw how i could make them visible.. when i finally did this,in the vobs, the subtitles were the same colour as in the .bmp files, red border, white inside. I went back to scenarist to view the simluation window, in this the subtitles appeared as they did on the DVD. (i'm using scenarist v3) and the colour options in scenarist were black and white.

Is there any way i can make the subs viewable like in the DVD, in the vobs that scenarist produces?

Thank you.

hi sphinx,
i am assuming you meant this thread?
how to correct subpicture colours in scenarist (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80733)

well if you want the correct colours you could try updating to the latest version of scenaid and select 'use original pallette' in the subpicture options, although this will (possibly) require youto re-rip the subs again using DIF4U and the new vsrip/vsconv that is included in the Scenaid release.

as for why they are appearing correctly in Scenarist and not on the remuxed vobs, i am really not sure...

did you adjust the entire stream's colours or just an individual subpics?

try deleting your cache and mux folders, check the colours again in the simulation window and compile if correct.

could be a quirk with scenarist V3? not sure as i have no experience with the upgrade.

If they appear correctly in scenarist but not on your final dvd I would assume you haven't updated the color tables when doing ifoupdate/batcupdateifo ?
