Ripped a dvd to my hdd using SmartRipper...Ripped the main movie only.
Tried to burn with nero but there's no .BUP files...is there any work around?? Can't re-rip as the dvd has come up missing...

Here's a SS:

Btw...dunno why it's associating .lst with 'Destiny' (old app that has been removed)...Looked in file assoc. and it shows .lst associated with LST file...says nothing about destiny.

Attached ss...dunno why it's not showing...

hi,
you cannot just rip parts of your dvd and then burn it again and expect it to work. you'll have to recreate the ifo files, especially the VIDEO_TS.ifo ... in other words you'll have to reauthor. the simplest way to do this would be to load the files into DVDshrink and let it create all the dvd structures as you'll need them for correct playback!

oh btw, the *.bup files are just backups of the ifo files. you can simply copy the .ifo file and then rename the copy to *.bup - iirc. still won't matter as the original ifos won't work on your standalone!

oh yeah, you couldn't see the attached image because a mod has to validate it before it can be viewed in the forum. as you see, i did :)

but honestly, i don't really have an idea what the *.lst file is. it might be some kind of stream information file, maybe you'll want to drag & drop it into your favourite text editor (e.g.Notepad) and see what it shows you...

No, it is smart enough, you were just using it in IFO-parsing mode to create a set of files that could not be used for your intended purpose, which was to create a usable DVD disc.

SmartRipper Movie Mode (or IFO mode in DVD Decrypter) rips a single angle of a single Program Group (PGC).

These rips are most often used for conversions that do not use DVD structures, such as MPEG-4 videos (e.g.: DivX, XviD) and various types of Video CDs.
