Hi Josh,
One thing that should be noted by all our readers is that WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE (WAVE_EX) files aren't supported by Besweet as input files for processing. We've run into this problem quite a few times with people trying to follow some of the upmixing methods and then getting error messages when they try to process the 6-channel wave files with Besweet. We've had to tell people to turn Plogue Bidule's WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE switch to "Never" before attempting to produce any 6-channel files. I put a screen grab of this in http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=525238#post525238.
These tools do look interesting. Have you used them very much? For some other useful command-line audio tools, you might also check out the AFsp Programs and Routines, a package of tools available from McGill University's Telecommunications & Signal Processing Laboratory. Download link is:
ftp://ftp.tsp.ece.mcgill.ca/TSP/AFsp/
A description of the package is available at http://www-mmsp.ece.mcgill.ca/Documents/Software/index.html

Yes, I use them ALL the time. Especially interlx and channelx. I create WAV files with them and feed them into BeSweet-- which works great :D. By the way WAVEFORMATEXTENSIBLE is optional on these utilities. An example is interlx, which creates a multichannel file from up to 16 wav files (16 channel wav, that would be nice, just think 11.5 instead of 5.1 -- well that's for the waaay future). The syntax for interlx is as follows:
interlx [-x] out in1 in2 in3...in16
The description for the -x switch:
-x: write outfile as WAVE_EX format
You can easily get a description of all the switches for each of the CLI programs by running them without parameters:
interlx
pause

Josh

Well Nuendo already does 10.2, but it's also expensive. Then think of the costs of buying all those speakers! :scared:
Thanks for the tip on the CDP toolkit. I'll check it out.
Steve.
