I've got a few MPGs with some minor corruption. I'm using VirtualDub to smooth things out. It does the job, however, it turns a 500MB MPEG into a 50GB AVI.
Any idea why that is happening and is there a way to get the output size down?

VDub canīt save MPeg.
To filter, it has to deompress.
You didnīt told it to compress the data - so youīre getting uncompressed video.
Chose a compression.
Vdub canīt save as MPeg.

No, actually I'm using DiVx 5.2.1. I tried 5.2.0, but that crashed the system...

your not using DivX as compression, its impossible to get such a large file size with DivX and a video of normal length.
tell me, what kind of pass mode are you using?

I wasn't using any compression before. I am now. Whatever I'm doing is working fine now. Thx
