correcting a wrongly authored dvd

hey guys

i have this dvd that is 16:9 enhanced but authored as 4:3 meaning i have to manually switch my widescreen tv to widescreen.. that's no biggie but on a 4:3 tv it doesn't get letterboxed so everything is vertically stretched..

i want to encoden en author this dvd and in the process fix the aspect ratio.. how do i go about this?

i use reauthorist, doitfast4u and docce4u...

first question would be how it's encoded... if they encoded at 4:3 instead of 16:9 it'll be a little more difficult.

though it could also be as easy as the IFO is incorrect and you can change the AR setting in the .ifo using IFOEDIT

the video is 4:3 encoded..

what if i rip all the files to hdd.. change the ar to 16:9 in the .ifo.. make an image.. rip my project from that image with doitfast4u.. do all the usual stuff but change the ar in docce4u to 16:9 before encoding...

would that work?

personally I think you'd be best to just leave it and switch to 16:9 :)

you could try just changing the AR in the IFO and see if that works... not sure though if that would do what your looking for or not
