After exporting some AVI's from Adobe Premeir Pro 1.5, I tried useing TMPG to encode them into .m2v and .mp2. The mp2's worked perfectly, however in both the preview and the output for the .m2v's, all I saw was black.
If you have any idea why this has happened, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you export as DV avi? Premiere uses its own DV codec if it cant find on on the machine IIRC. Install a DV codec, and then try again. Does the output file from Premiere play fine before you encode?
Is there any reason you are leaving them as indivdual streams and not letting TMPG mux them as it encodes?

The AVI's play just fine before encoding. I'm leaving them seperated because I want to load them into Scenerist for DVD production.
When I put the AVI's on another computer, TMPG encodes them perfectly, which leads me to beleive that a setting on this computer has been changed.
I tried removing and reinstalling TMPG, but that didn't work either.
At this point I am completely lost and have resorted to using my other computers to encode and just using this one for Premiere work and Scenerist, but I would still like to solve the problem.
