Hi,
I think that's a codec problem, but I couldn't solve it:
I have a problem to open with virtual dub few Xvid coded video.
after loading the files, VD display a massege: NOTHING TO OUTPUT BFRAME DECODER LAG instead of the first frame of the video
few of the files I downloaded, and others I codded using virtual dub in the same computer few months ago.
I identified the codec using GSpot: "XVID/yv12"
other Xvid files which are opened, for those GSpot gives: "XVID" (without /yv12).
I have tried to install some Xvid codec but it didn't help.
What codec do I need? How can I fix it ? Can it be DivX?

thanks

Just means that the files were encoded with bframes and without packed bitstream enabled (or at least unpacked after encoding). If you are wanting to edit in VFW apps you should encode with packed bitstream enabled.

I am sure that there are a couple of real nice posts around here explaining bframes in AVI, packed bitsream, etc. If you are interested try the search button.
