I have a great number of pre 1.54 AutoGK Xvids where the 6ch AC3 audio will periodically cut out on my PHilips DVP-642.
Also when I open the avi in viruadub I get "Warning: Nothing to output BFrame Decoder lag". Which is unusual.
Currently I am correcting the problem my manually opening the files in Virualdub, setting the streams to direct copy and chaning the interleave from deafault to every 2 frames.
My Questions.
1) Is there better, more convient tool to correct any interleaving/muxing problems prior to hardware playback? Or is VirualDub the right tool for the job.
2) Am I using the best interleave settings for hardware playback on a philips DVP-642 (ESS based I believe). 500 preload, every 2 frames.
3) If VirtualDub is the best tool for the job is there anyway I can automate the process. Maybe write a script then cut and past a list of avi names into that script?
4) Finally in general are there any tool/utilties that I should be using to test and or correct for potential problems before burning a DivX for use in my hardware payback device.
Thanks :)
