I built a new machine this past July and decided it was time to use my copy of IC8 instead of the "long in the tooth" IC7...BIG MISTAKE!!
Bottom line, even with all the patches, IC8 can't size worth a damn even when oversizing and, more importantly, introduces far more artifacts and causes stuttering in the output file.
At least I know IC7 gives me a good result and consistently gives good sizes. If I set to 4.39 GB, I'm usually within 100 MB of filling the DVD.
For it's consistency and better quality, I can overlook IC7's inability to "see" my newer burners and gladly use other burning programs for the final product.
