Hi,
here comes probably two newbieish questions:

I tried to produce an mp4 (aac) from a ac3 audiofile using BeSWeet Gui v.0.7b4. i was wondering why I didnīt have o specify the location of aacenc. exe or beSplit etc. but anyway ... it didnīt work. Hereīs the log file:

BeSweet v1.5b23 by DSPguru.
--------------------------
Using azid.dll v1.8 (b825) by Midas (midas@egon.gyaloglo.hu).
Using bsn.dll v0.2 by DPeshev,Richard,DSPguru (http://DSPguru.Doom9.org).
Manual Dynamic-Compression algorithm by LigH (author of WaveBooster).

C:\Programme\Gordian Knot\BeSweet.exe -core( -input e:\man AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3 -output e:\man AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY 0ms.mp4 -logfilea C:\Programme\Gordian Knot\BeSweet.log ) -azid( -c normal -g 0.95 -L -3db ) -bsn( -2ch -config -backup ) -boost( /b2=5 )

[00:00:00:000] +------- BeSweet -----
[00:00:00:000] | Input : e:\man AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3
[00:00:00:000] | Output: e:\man AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY 0ms.mp4
[00:00:00:000] | Floating-Point Process: No
Error 84: error configuring bsn!
Quiting...
[00:00:00:000] Conversion Completed !

Logging ends : 09/17/04 , 15:33:49.

So what did I do wrong?

Second Question (even more newbie like): Is there a simple plugin for the windows media player for the aac files produced by BeSweet or AACmachine and where do I find it? Although I have the latest ffdshow filter installed, this doesnīt work. But if it would, I could control the aac files before muxing them with the mp4 video file.

Best regards and thanks to anybody offering some help!

Hi,

From your logfile it looks like you are attempting to use Nero's AAC encoder via besweet. You will need nero installed, and must copy the encoder .dll files to the besweet directory. Use the search for more information on this topic.

To play back AAC files under WMP or other directshow players, you'll first need a splitter/parser: For .mp4 files, 3ivx (http://www.3ivx.com) is recommended. For AAC files, use the AAC parser (http://www.rarewares.org/files/aac/aac_parser.zip) from rarewares. Then you'll also need an AAC decoding filter, such as CoreAAC (http://pessoal.onda.com.br/rjamorim/COREaacDS.zip).

Hi Kpex, thank ou for the reply. meanwhile, Iīve updated the version of besweet, and copied the following enc-files from the nero plugin directory to the besweet directory
-aacenc32.dll
-aac.dll
-nxaac.dll

However, it did not help. I got the following logfile:

BeSweet v1.5b29 by DSPguru.
--------------------------
Using azid.dll v1.9 (b922) by Midas (midas@egon.gyaloglo.hu).
Using Shibatch.dll v0.24 by Naoki Shibata & DSPguru (shibatch.sourceforge.net).

So ... whatīs wrong with the "bsn"config?
What files do I have to copy from nero to what directory of besweet?

I believe you also need the neroipp.dll file in the BeSweet directory.
