(H.264) I need help

Hi all,

I am new here..... I am doing my studies.. and started H.264 decoder implementation as my project.

As i am all new to video codecs, i read some papers, tutorials and book by Richardson on it. Can someone guide me out in this. More... i need to implement it for wireless framework.

Although i read something.... still i am not able to figure out the profile and level and the error schemes, which i should go for.

I also tried to play with the options of FFMPEG, can someone help me in this also.... i mean where to find test vectors and sample video clips to run and check the performance..

Is anyone interested in building new (raw) codec, can join me. Also i want to know is there any implementation of various modules and Algos. independently, which can help in understanding the concepts in a better way.

also if someone wants to join some disscussion on H.264 with me.

i will be thankful.

yea I have been reading about it for few weeks, and i also tried to understand JM85 and FFMPEG(H264 only). But the way they are implemented, I think are not stand alone modules. i want that, not specifically in C, or Highly optimized. Even a matlab code will be enough to start it. As I am new to video, there are many terms i am not able to get....like what is crop?

As for the posts here, I found JUSTIN some time back showed some interest in that, is he still here with same enthu.
