View Full Version : MSmooth mask stops short

Upon viewing the mask generated by MSmooth (200b1) for a 320x240 clip, I've noticed that the mask abruptly stops about 3 or more pixels from the left edge. The consequence is that sharp horizontal lines or other sharp features in the first few columns of the image are blasted by the smoother. At first, I thought there was a smudge on my screen, but no.

Is there a way to get the mask to extend to the clip edges or some other way to prevent smoothing in this edge region?

Another quick question - while previewing interlaced video imported by MPEG2Source (DGmpgdec), the color of the interlaced portions appears to be corrupted. For example, an MPG2 comb pattern appears as distinct white and blue interlaced lines when previewed directly in VDub. When opened by MPEG2Source and viewed in VDub, however, the same interlaced portion includes black-ish and red-ish lines. The end results of the processed video appears to be fine.
Should I be concerned?

Thank you.
