Has anyone here seen a problem like this? I have D2S122b3 installed with Avisynth 2.55 and Ds2Roba 3.60, with CCE-Basic (latest version). When I setup D2S to encode with CCE and click GO, it completes the audio portion of the work no problem. When it tries to run CCE, it just says "failed:invalid handle" and I have to use the task manager to kill D2S. When I run CCE by itself it works fine! Doesn't matter which avi I try to convert, this happens.

I've unistalled D2S, CCE, D2SRoba and Avisynth, rebooted and reinstalled and it *still* does it. This only started about a week ago. Can anyone give me some hints?

PC specs:
2.4Ghz P4 on Asus P4P800 mb, 512Mb RAM
11Gig free on temp and 38 Gig free on work drives, Win 2K.

[edit] by the way, if I use TMPG as the encoder it works with no problems.

Hi,

DVD2SVCD is incompatible with CCE-Basic. You need to use CCE-SP.

Bob

*sigh*

Well, since I don't have that much money I'll stick to TMPG. Thanks anyway.

Ok, an update to this. I found a copy of CCE-SP Trial 2.66.01.07
(and it is trial...logo is there and cannot save ecl's) and installed it. when I run DVD2SVCD (with or without D2SRoba) it does all the audio tasks, stops to let me view/edit the script and when I click ok I get the following:

"Failed to execute Cinema Craft Encoder : Invalid handle"

If I at this point I open CCE-SP(with EclCCE) then it begins to process the script. It just won't open CCE on its own. [is it accurate to say that it's acutally AVI2DVD thats doing this since that's whats in the title bar?] CCE will then complete its work and return to DVD2SVCD which finishes its work and all is ok.

Can someone help me with this please?
