Hi!

What program is the best to change/edit the dvd navigation.

I sometimes had a problem ,that after the intro on a movie it

stopped. (How can i follow the dvd play-range to see where the

problem is, so i could jump directly to the menu or moviestart)

I know there are a couple of programs out there , but what is the

best (DVDremake,PGCedit or ifoedit).

Are there any guides on this ??

It's been around for a long time but to most newbies, it had an intimidating learning curve. There was guides to do certain macros but none to educate you on how to understand and edit the commands. If you had a software programming background, it was easier to understand because it was basically setting registers (variables) and performing logical commands (e.g. If-then statements). Honestly, I have been using PgcEdit a lot more. IfoEdit was great but it did have some bugs and limited user friendly command editing. PgcEdit was never meant to replace IfoEdit but to accompany it. Though it lacks IfoEdit's options to work with VOBs and viewing capabilities, it does a better job with parsing and editing the IFOs. You should know that I have dabbled in command editing for a long time now so I guess my opinion adds some punch to PgcEdit. I have been working with rolZ, PgcEdit's author, on clearing some of IfoEdit's bugs and even gave suggestions to make it a lot more user friendly than IfoEdit was. I suggest you give it a try. ;)

I sometimes had a problem ,that after the intro on a movie it stopped. (How can i follow the dvd play-range to see where the problem is, so i could jump directly to the menu or moviestart) That's why I had to come up with some IfoEdit guides in the past because there weren't really good specialized guides to do what I wanted. What you are requesting for is a debugger that would do a step by step execution. rolZ has already mentioned that he was working on a trace function but I don't know what the progress status is on that. But, if he is successful, it'll be a godsend for the PC community. There is already one for Mac users, http://www.tfdvdedit.com/public/98.cfm but it's not free. For now, since I have a better understanding of the commands, I have to do my debugging the manual way. :(

Are there any guides on this ?? There are some guides around but very limited on the tools you mentioned. That's why people come here to clear some grey areas and hopefully share the knowledge to others on specific fixes. ;)

Thanx 2COOL for your reply.

I know that you are one of the proffs in this forum,

so i'm ready to take your advise.

I will look at PGCedit and start 'fooling around' with my

ifos and see what will happen.

And lets hope that tfdvdedit for the mac will come to the PC platform soon.

Looks really gr8
