I would like to know if the space saving of WMK meet my requirements of video quality as for as DVD type of thing goes, or is it one of those mediocre type of WMV formats that is only good for streaming video on the hurry and only focusing on getting the job done, but none on absolute quality. PLease advice.

WMK? Do you mean Matroska (.mkv)? If so, this is a container, not a codec.

Divx Vs WMK...
He can't mean MKV, cos how can you ever compare a codec to a container. :D
Well, I prefer DivX above WMV, actually I like XviD best.
BTW: In one of the codec comparrisons, I noted (in my interpretation) that DivX3 gives better quality than WMV.
How can this ever be since DivX3 is a hack of an older Microsoft codec than WMV which means that the Windows MPEG4-v3 is better than the newer WMV codecs.
A bit unlogical actually, any comments?
