What is a "magic bullet"?
Avisynth works in the colourspace you feed it with.
Provide more information what you want to know and/or read www.avisynth.org, http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25002 and http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=37276.
I also fail to see how this thread is related to avisynth development, but oh well.

it a filtering program that goes into ether premiere or aftereffects. I just compareing the two to find out the advantages and disadvantages of each.

looks like magic bullet is designed primarily for film-faking. it looks like it's denoising is limited to hiding colour-bleed artefacts from DV video.
certainly i'd have to see something spectacular from it to justify it's price tag.
avisynth is the best "postprocessing" software i've seen, and what a price! it's far more flexible than a closed-source plugin for premiere/AE.
of course, these two programs have different aims - avisynth is primarily for cleaning, resizing, deinterlacing and correcting video for compression, whereas magic bullet is more for production use, where bitrate is not limited (well, it's limited to DVD bitrate i suppose), source quality is good and deadlines are real. i'm sure avisynth can be used for making film-look as well, but it's not a priority :)
avisynth has a lot of call for undoing the stuff that film-look plugins apply, like 3:2 pulldown and grain addition.

hmm thanx so you saying that if I use magicbullet then avistyn it will undo the filtering becasue it smooths out the film look. SHould i use avistyn first then magicbullet. I need to do a color conversion tho.

Avisynth will only do what you tell it to do...
