Have you tried installing Real Alternative?

Real Alternative sucks badly. Better install Satsuki Decoder Pack.

well real alternative is a nono because i often come up with pages which need realplayer plugin to play these media files and i dont htink the Real alternative supports that. hows satsuki?

Don't you still need to install Gabest's RealMedia splitter for playback in any direct-show based player?
Check out http://sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/
Cheers
PS: More information in the subject title would be welcome, next time please PkmoNk

Okay, download the RealMedia Splitter (http://82.2.167.24/Uploaded_Files/Doom9_Forum_files/RealMedia_DSDec_Filter.zip) and install it as per the instructions.
Don't forget to let us know how you get on?

anyways a problem solved and hopefully future problems can be answered by this.

If you finally got round to installing the RealMedia Splitter, you should find that you will be able to play RealMedia content in 'all' your direct-show based players.
This includes WindowsMedia Player 9 (WMP9), MPC, ZoomPlayer, etc, etc.
