I recently got an episode of an TV series, which seems to be dubed from TV.

Those are fine, as long as played on PC, but when I burn them to CD and feed them to my DVD-Player, there's a ongoing massiv change in brightness.

It starts normal and becomes ever darker until it's all black, then the other way round, that goes on and on through the whole 22 files.
The burned CD works fine on PC, no flipping in brightness.

Does anybody know why this happens?

Didn't know where to put it, so please move it if it's wrong here.;)

I finally reencoded the file, which was NTSC, to PAL.

Well what should I say works now, but the quality is not that great, which isn't actually a miracle cause I uses this f****** TmpgEnc.

Does anybody now a GOOD program for a conversion from mpg1 NTSC to mpg1 PAL ???

what makes you think it's macrovision ????

As far as I know it only works when played back from an analog source such as an VHS Recorder.

I'm using an DVD Player this is digital, isn't it ???

So where's the point with macrovision ??

After all: Is dubed TV Stuff protected with macrovision ???

Sure it's not a copy protection.

Seems like my DVD Player doesn't like this 29,97fps NTSC stuff.

Gonna get a new one. Hope THAT works.
