Problem using DoItFast4U, DoCCE4U & ReAuthorist with Fargo and Kill Bill

Hi,

I've been using the guide at http://www.doom9.org/mpg/ra-guide.htm. It's worked fine except for menus.

The first one I tried was with Fargo, when I tested it on my computer before burning it seemed to play back sound rather jerkily with no video, and didn't bring up the menu without me choosing Menu > Root menu in my DVD playback software. I figured that since the video played back I may as well burn it and assumed it was just being a pain.

I've now tried with Kill Bill using the guide, and it did exactly the same, it didn't load the menu and when it did it seemed to corrupt the picture so you couldn't see the options and start playback etc.

I was wondering if I'd missed anything?

well i can't say for sure, but most likely something has gone wrong in the ifo update step, or the menus were corrupted during the ripping process!

anyway, i think this thread fits better into the 'big 3' forum, so i'll move it for you!

pingles: if you are following that guide, i would assume that you have not used NuMenu4U to compress your menus?
if this is the case, I would agree with killingspree, that the source of your problems are a result of incorrectly updating your .ifo's.

i would suggest you have a read of this alternative method to the ifoupdate step : An easier way to do the IFOUpdate step - By Eyes`Only (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=63841)

i would also strongly suggest that you try Trahald's BatchIfoUpdate Tool in stead of Ifoupdate. you can download and read about it here:

before you try any of this, you should start again with the original .ifo's, which you can easily copy of the virtual disk you have mounted in daemon tools (or similar) along with the menu .vobs and any non-encoded video.
