You hit the "Get VTS sectors" button in IFOEdit before burn your project?

Are you working on a NTSC DVD? IfoEdit has authoring problems with NTSC. Anyways, try ReJig's DVD Authoring. Note: ReJig also only authors without menus.

Okay, I had to step back and ponder on this.

...but on my
dvd-player it run well all the menus until pressing play button... You have menus now?

Since your IfoEdit authored DVD doesn't have menus, what exactly did you do next? Me thinks you are withholding valuable information.

That guide doesn't show any use for it. If correcting VTS sectors was done in that guide, it was done through IfoUpdate. I guess we'll need to wait for Fateh2002 to clarify.

Honestly, I haven't done any subtitles replacing so I'm not an expert in this field. But I do believe there are people out there who have succesfully done it, whether simple or complex.

http://rodivx.xro.us/GhidAdaugareSubtitrareDVD/en/DVDSubtitleGuide.html No problem. ;)

Did you see the Warning in this guide?

WARNING ! EVERY DVD IS SPECIAL, ONE OF THEM ARE MORE COMPLEX, AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT SUBTITLE ON THEM WITH THIS GUIDE AND KEEP THE MENUS AND OTHER EXTRAS.

In this guide, it uses IfoEdit for PAL authoring and ReJig for NTSC authoring. In both cases, they will produce no menus backups.

EDIT: Reading Step 5...

STEP 5 - Replacing and modifying the .ifo, .vob, .bup files. Final settings. ReAuthoring.

a) Delete from the "Original DVD" folder all the *.VOB files that contain the movie (exemple : if the movie is in VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, VTS_01_4.VOB...delete them). We'll cut (move) from the "Final DVD" folder the *.VOB files that contain the movie (e.g. VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, VTS_01_4.VOB etc) and paste in the "Original DVD" folder. Then erase the *.IFO and *.BUP files left in the "Final DVD" folder, or any other folders like (AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS created by Rejig at multiplex) so that it remains empty. So the original movie VOBs DOES get replaced by the newly authored one. The guide is dated May 01, 2004 so this is pretty fresh. Assuming Fateh2002 used this guide, it suppose to work. Well, I'm crossing my fingers on this even when I haven't tried it out.

Well I tried this same guide, and my backup doesn't work... I think the guide using Maestro may be the one to use.
