View Full Version : Does 'Idle' in DVD2SVCD's 'Process priority' affect video quality?

I'm curious to know if choosing 'idle' in 'Process priority' under the Misc tab in DVD2SVCD can cause any fall in produced SVCD quality, when DVD2SVCD needs to give absolute preference to other working apps.
I don't mind the extra time but I'm a bit worried that not giving it exclusivity might degrade the video quality. From what I know, it shouldn't but any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
TIA.

Don't worry. It does not affect quality. Surprisingly, it does not affect speed significantly either. And if set to idle, the system is much more responsive for other stuff. I even play 3D games while encoding.

Thanks for the quality reassuring.
I had time to try it and indeed it looks very user friendly and not so slow either.
compliments to DVD2SVCD developers for making that option available :-)
