Hello. I posted part of this in the Newbie forum but thought it might be appropriate here. I'm looking for a software player for CD+G karaoke files. I bought 48 Karaoke CDs that I want to put on my PC hard drive and run Karaoke shows. All CDs are CD+G format. I have a Plextor CD drive that is CD+G compatible. But the tracks are labeled as .CDA files. I have tried using AudioGrabber to copy the CD to the hard drive and it creates .CDG files. But they are not recognized by Media Player or Swift Elite. Also, the track names and song information isn't there. I have Googled this to death. There are so many formats and nothing seems to match.

To summarize: I need a good way to copy complete CD+G Karaoke CDs to my hard drive and I need a player that will allow me to create play lists. I would like to find a low cost solution but I will pay for a good quality software player. I have downloaded Swift Elite but it doesn't play the formats on the CD or the copies from AdioGrabber. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

Did you try:

Also ripping the CD+G tracks may not be pretty straightforward. This link should give you the details of CD+G format and how they are similar/different from regular audio tracks.

Sorry I could not be of further help.

Thank you very much. I will research those threads. I'm completely confused over the different formats and any info is of great help to me.
