Hi, I'm trying to make a basic root motion menu with DVDMaestro.
What I want : DVD starts, playing my .m2v root menu, and at the end of this menu (last frame), we can activate 2 buttons (Language menu, and Resume film). I prepared the right subpicture for the root menu buttons, and my langage menu is a simple .bmp file.
In the DVDMAestro guide, we are told : "As this is is a motion menu we want it to loop." So I checked "Loop", and as the buttons appears at the end of my .m2v file, I moved the slider to the end (btw, I can't reach the very end : menu is 14 sec long, I can only scroll the slider to 13 sec max ..)
What I get : The menu starts, but at the end, it seems to loop (between the slider position and the subpicture activation I guess) and the menu is not navigable. Any idea ?
If I'm not clear, thanks to tell it to me :-)

Your file is short, so you let the slider at the begining (the left) to loop the entire file.
The loop works this way: from the begining to the slider it will be no buttons , and the loop it will be from slider to the end (with buttons too)

ok Groasnicu' you are right, my looping time was too short and it badly loops.
But I think my .m2v menu should be "still" or maybe "timeout" (I didnt test right now) instead of "loop" : the subpicture has to appear on the last frame of that m2v ; I think its impossible with a looping menu.
Tell me if I'm wrong ; I think it would be ok to put a .bmp just after the m2v is finished (actually, this .bmp is the last frame of my .m2v). That would allow me not to loop, and to get on the .bmp when a user presses "root menu" on the remote control unit, instead of playing the menu again. Maybe I have to set "Auto action" on the .m2v menu to get automatically to the .bmp.
I fear that there'll be a small time between the .m2v and the .bmp, but please tell me if the solution looks ok ..

Yes you can put the menu on "still" and move the slider to the right.
In that case you don't need the BMP image anymore.
