i have a warning message (popup) for each avs generated (in the cce window)
"frame size 740x56 not supported. Supperted frame is up to 720x576"
what the hell is this size ?
i got an eye in the ini, ecl... files and din't even find those numbers !!

I usually see this when I have something typed incorrectly in the avs filter editor. You may want to check that if you added stuff to it.

have you tried to open one of the avs files in windows media player. that should error out and tell you exactly on what line the error is occuring in your avs script.

Hi you two. :)
@ giboo
- make sure AviSynth is installed properly.
I'd suggest re-installing it.
- check the path to MPEG2DEC3DG is correct.
For most installation it should be "C\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\MPEG2Dec3dg.dll".
- "Add to AVS File" must be checked.

thanks you both !
but it doesn't help :
windows media is reading fine :(
for sure : the scripts are most simple !!
#------------------
# AVS File Created by DVD Rebuilder
# VOBID:02, CELLID:01
#------------------
LoadPlugin("C:\Program Files\0-dvd\AviSynth\MPEG2Dec3dg.dll")
mpeg2source("D:\FILMS\BACKUP\D2VAVS\V01.D2V")
trim(89242,103336)
ConvertToYUY2()
AudioDub(BlankClip())
i reboot my machine after unistall all the stuff and reinstall
it doesn't work more...
but now, i've no prompt about size... it's just skipping each file, and end the encoding in 5 secondes... would my machine became an encoding evil :devil: ?? ;-p
i've spent allmost a day to search for guides... maybe i'll try something else than dvd rb...
but it's too bad : i was enjoying the idea of a 3 clicks & cce encoder...

Sorry to hear it's still not working, giboo. :(
I had a very similar problem recently, and re-installing AviSynth fixed it.
I'm affraid I'm not knowledgeable enough to help you. :confused:
Hopefully, someone who is will come to your help. :)

thanks for answering in spite of this :
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=53770
(i searched in the entire forum 740x56, and i get an eye in this dvdrb section)
but anyway : i left my avs files "normal"... so the Q14.2 doesn't solve my problem...

to see what the error is you load the avs in MediaPlayerClassic. then you will see what avisynth is reporting the problem to be.

@giboo:
your troubles are most probably due to a bad avisynth installation, or an unsupported avisynth release installed...
I suggest the following:
1) First of all, follow indications of TheSeeker & dragongodz, in order to verify that the avisynt you have installed is properly working
2) create the "version.avs" file, with notepad, containing just the word "version", and play it; it should report version 2.54
3) In the DVD-RB setup window, verify that the application paths are filled with the right paths, in the right application path boxex
4) In the CCE Options of DVD-RB, double check that you have selected the right item corresponding to the CCE version you have
5) if you pass previous steps without finding anything wrong, it could be a bad cce installation. In this case reinstall cce
Hope it is of any help...
Cheers

hé hé
thanks everybody but :
- as i said before the generated avs are allright in windows media player
- I downloaded and make clean install (ie uninstall + reboot + install) of the whole files linked in the dvd rb doom9 guide
- I checked the CEE SP 2.66+ as i installed 2.67.023
and that works fine with my second dvd (i'll try another day with my first problematic dvd9)
it means the path is good...
For this working one, i even use the avs filter to deinterlace with TomsMoComp, instead of Decomb... It's allright !
Maybe the disc is not backupable with dvdrb...

I experienced exactly the same as giboo.
With one certain DVD (Lagaan, a Bollywood movie, propably a suspicios source; but plays back alright) CCE 2.66.01.07 fails to load the first avs correctly and gives the above error. BUT the same combination on CCE and avisynth worked before very well! Also, playing back the related avs works fine. little difference: in my case CCE is crashing completely (has to be shut down with taskmanager.)
Also, with Animatrix, CCE is hanging all the time at a certain spot in one of the extras. The related spot is propably a high-BR-spot(flashing picture). I tried cutting down maxbr in the ecl for this extra, but no effect. I tried also to cut this scene out with vobblanker, but this doesn't even work (fails on playback)
Any suggestions are appreciated.
I notice some people complain about CCE crashing lately...
Do I have to go back some RB versions (all on my HD :) )

To all who are getting this error. I also experienced this frustrating turn of events. Not too long back I was doing the Taken Miniseries and I had started the encode phase and was maybe half way through when I wanted to play Warcraft 3 i believe it was. So i stopped the encode knowing i could resume when i was done playing. When i went to resume rebuilder and cce acted just as yours is. It went through and finished really super fast not really doing anything at all. I tried everything. it did it to every movie i tried every version of rebuilder i tried. i tried with very most basic settings nothing was working. Until finally I went to the official avisynth website and got the very very newest beta version of avisynth (release 7/29/04 i believe) and that solved everything. Since then i havent seent this error appear yet.
@Giboo
SO if you havent gotten the newest newest version off the official website of avisynth and are still using 2.54 that is linked to in the doom9 website you might want to give the newer version a try. It helped me.
